Zach Slaten is a second-generation leader at Slaten Construction, bringing financial expertise, a passion for people, and an unshakable determination to the family business. A graduate of UNC Charlotte with a focus in finance, Zach blends analytical precision with a big-picture vision—making him a key force in the company’s next chapter of growth.
While studying financial analysis and investment strategy, Zach sharpened his skills through internships that emphasized financial modeling, data analysis, and market research. At Wealth Enhancement Group, a nationally respected investment firm, he was the only intern invited to stay on year-round—quickly becoming an irreplaceable asset to the team.
Despite a promising future in finance, Zach chose to walk away from a full-time role to help build Slaten Construction. It wasn’t a hard decision—it was a calling. Having grown up on job sites beside his father, sanding drywall by age four, Zach’s connection to the business runs deep. Today, he applies his financial acumen to drive efficiency, clarity, and growth within the company while carrying forward its core values.
Zach’s story is also one of resilience. As a sophomore in high school, he was diagnosed with a rare inflammatory disease that left him paralyzed from the waist down for 70 days. Doctors were uncertain if he’d walk again. But through grit and determination, he relearned how to walk—and within a year, led his lacrosse team in goals scored. That same mindset drives how he leads and supports others today.
With a charismatic, easygoing nature, Zach is deeply committed to helping people—both clients and teammates—achieve their goals. He’s fully invested in the Slaten Construction vision and refuses to rest until every team member has the opportunity to thrive.
