John Kohler is a passionate builder—of businesses, relationships, and unforgettable experiences. With a career forged through grit, creativity, and relentless follow-through, John brings a rare blend of vision, accountability, and heart to everything he does.
He began his journey in construction as a carpenter, known early on for his hard work and dependability. Raised in a family business, with a grandfather who was an architect that designed soda fountains for Walgreens, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship are in John’s blood. He worked his way up through the industry, eventually founding and selling multiple companies—including a Commercial Appraisal firm and a successful General Contracting Company he led from 2012 to 2022.
John's path hasn’t been without obstacles. A life-changing motorcycle accident at the age of 21 cost him his right arm—but not his drive. With determination and humility, he retrained himself to build with his left hand, refusing to let adversity define him. His resilience is part of what makes him a standout leader—always the first to take responsibility when things go wrong, and the first to offer guidance when others need it.
Beyond business, John lights up every room he enters. Clients know him as articulate, thoughtful, and deeply committed—following up relentlessly and communicating with clarity and care. He’s also a passionate mentor, always eager to teach, guide, and empower others in the industry.
Outside of work, John is an adventurer at heart. He spent three years as a semi-professional road racer and has a lifelong love of rocketry. He’s also known for his colorful collection of Hawaiian shirts and his deep connection to Hawaii—places and symbols that reflect his zest for life.
John is most proud of his family: his three amazing boys and his incredibly supportive wife, who knows exactly how crazy he is—and loves him all the more for it.
